故マイケル・ジャクソンさんのCDやDVDが記録的な売り上げ でチャートを独占しているそうです。色々あった彼ですが、歌と踊りに関しては超天才。彼のPV を見ているとこっちまで踊りたい気分 になってしまいますね
今日は、この「～な気分」の表現についてのレッスンをお届けします。

　Mamma Mia is a stage-to-film adaptation¹. The story takes place² on a small Greek island and involves³ a single mother, a daughter and the three possible⁴ fathers. For me, it’s a B-plus kind of movie at best⁵. But, if you once had the time of your life⁶ with ABBA music, then you’d probably enjoy it. Timeless⁷ numbers such as “Dancing Queen”, “I Have A Dream”, “Money, Money, Money”, and “Take A Chance On Me” are woven⁸ into the story. And don’t miss the credits roll if you decide to watch it. Amanda Seyfried as Sophie sings “Thank You For The Music” over the end titles.

　Now, I’m going to quote a line from “Dancing Queen” today. I can sing it but kaori doesn’t want me to, so let’s learn a phrase right away.

　In the Dancing Queen lyrics⁹, there’s a line that goes: you’re in the mood for¹⁰ a dance. It means you feel like dancing. You want to dance. For example, you can say you’re in the mood for a movie; you’re in the mood for a party. You can use this expression for food. Let’s say, you and your friends are planning to go out for a dinner tonight. One of the friends asks you, “What do you want to eat?” And you want to eat Chinese food. Then you can say, “I’m in the mood for Chinese! How about you?”

　Or, you’re in a bad mood. Then your friend cracks a joke¹¹. You don’t like it because you’re in a bad mood. You may want to say, “Oh, please, I’m not in the mood for your jokes”.
