　A little while ago, a friend of mine asked which preposition¹, ‘with’ or ‘by’, should follow² the phrase ‘that’s all right’ before saying the word ‘me’? In other words, ‘that’s all right with me’ or ‘that’s all right by me’, which is correct? That’s her question. My answer? Either way³ is fine.

　So, let’s learn this expression today.

　Let’s say, we’re going to have a meeting in the afternoon and I say: I want to start the meeting at 3:00 if it’s all right with you. Or more directly, ‘would that be all right with you?’ And you could say, ‘Yes, that’s all right with me‘. You may add to say, ‘any time after one is all right with me’.

　Again, you can use the preposition ‘by’ instead of ‘with’. I just use ‘with’ for now and let’s practice the expression together.
