　People keep asking me how they can improve their English. In fact there are many things that you can do to improve your English. One of the first things I would recommend is to use a good dictionary and it has to be an English-English dictionary. You may argue¹ that when you look for one English word you don’t know in the dictionary you may find another word you don’t know in the definition².

　I understand your concern³. But then you can use learner’s dictionaries which are designed specifically for those who learn English as a second language, and they limit⁴ the number of words used to explain the entry words⁵. You can find excellent learners dictionaries online such as Merriam-Webster or Cambridge. If you really want to learn English, check them out.
