今日は “when it comes to (doing) something”というフレーズを紹介します。「○○のことについては」、「○○の話となると」という意味です。とっても良く使う表現なので、是非覚えましょう。

Now, when you say “when it comes to something or doing something, what does it mean? It means “particularly when the topic is about something” or “when it is a question of something.

If you go to English-English online dictionaries such as Macmillan, Merriam-Webster or Oxford, you can find good example sentences that should help you better understand what the idiom means and how to use it. For example, when it comes to fishing, Bob is an expert. When it comes to music, everyone has their own preferences. When it comes to writing letters, Mary is hopeless.
